Scout Boats designs and manufactures world-class luxury boat models from 17’ to 53’, each packed with timeless innovations, technology, and trendsetting features. Scout is considered by many to be the Ferrari of the marine world, thanks to the sleek, beautiful lines and high-performance. They are constantly pushing the envelope, helping steer the marine industry into the future.
The Approach
Mark Jerkins, the account executive, has had a nearly two-decade-long working relationship with Scout Boats, during which Scout has risen through the ranks of the marine industry leaders. The boats are stunning and the thoughtfulness within every engineering and design decision is obvious. My approach when working on projects for Scout is simply to continue presenting the brand as a high-performance, luxury brand. I accomplish this by taking a confident, less-is-more approach. I don't need to drone on and on about how exquisite the boats are because people can see that for themselves. My job is to remind potential customers that they can elevate their lifestyle and live the dream behind the helm of a Scout.
Another approach I take with Scout is presenting the brand as a family of like-minded people. Scout is a family-owned company, and that really resonates with people. Scout owners take great pride in representing the brand by wearing the apparel and attending the rendezvouses. I love creating designs for event-specific apparel. I delight in the fact that the designs will bring back the memories the person made aboard their Scout.
